Recently rented a full-size vehicle in San Antonio Airport from 12/7/2022 thru 12/12/2022. After being greeted by Rental Agent {Adriana) I was told I must purchase supplemental liability insurance in the state of Texas on a rented vehicle. I have always had full coverage insurance on all my vehicles and have never been forced to purchase supplemental liability before. I stated I did not need the insurance however she insisted the extra liability insurance needed to be purchased. I already pre-paid for the rental car though Priceline {nonrefundable} in order to get a better price, otherwise I would have walked down to another rental car company and rented another vehicle. I paid the extra fee and figured I would research the issue, I called the state of Texas BMV, my insurance company and also noticed on the Fox rental car website you do not need to purchase the insurance. I have spoken with two customer service agents in billing and asked to refund my money as it was not a requirement by the state of Texas. They replied since you signed the rental agreement, we cannot refund your money. This is a very poor business practice by Fox rental car!
